Hornblower's San Diego ticket booth serves hundreds of thousands a year. We've sold tickets to millions of eager whale watchers from the windows, thousands of couples going on romantic dinner cruises and probably provided directions to countless visitors to San Diego's waterfront.
But as part of the Port of San Diego's North Embarcadero Visionary Plan, our ticket booth needed to be relocated. So we packed our boxes of maps and ticket stock and prepared for the big day. But how, exactly, do you move a ticket booth, you ask? Very carefully. And with a crane.
Moving a ticket booth isn't an everyday occurrence in San Diego, so it got some media attention from KUSI and the San Diego Business Journal.
Eventually we'll be moving to an even bigger, more permanent ticket booth. For now, you can follow all the progress on our Facebook page or the Port of San Diego website.
