Hornblower frequently takes our marketing and promotion efforts overseas. In fact, we have one staff member dedicated to traveling around the world to help promote Hornblower products as part of tour packages, travel agent education and to work with other international organization that promote tourism.
One of the biggest international tourism events outside of the states is World Travel Mart, held every year in London. In 2011:
- 20,230 trade professionals attended
- 4,949 companies exhibited
- 2,676 members of the press atteneded
- 189 countries and regions were represented
- 1,149 students attended
Our two staff members who attended had almost 150 meetings and met with representatives from companies located in Sri Lanka, Germany, Turkey, Russia, India, France, UK and United States. Check out some pics from the show floor!
They also explored London and brushed up on their tea service etiquette, and brought us home some delicious British chocolates.
