Since 1982 the Susan G. Komen foundation has been working to raise money to research breast cancer, educate the world about breast cancer and increase awareness of the disease.
Statue Cruises is proud to be contributing to their effort in a very unique way. Foam crowns, like the one the Statue of Liberty wears, are a popular keepsake for visitors to the Statue. However, throughout the summer and through October, visitors will be able to purchase a special pink foam crown. Proceeds from the sale of each one of these pick crowns will do directly to the Susan G. Komen foundation.
Statue Cruises' support also includes sponsorship of the Komen NYC Race for the Cure being held on Sunday, September 12, 2010.
Statue Cruises executives and Susan G. Komen executives were on hand to launch the Pink Crowns for a Cure campaign in Battery Park last week.
