Desserts is Stressed Spelled Backwards… Part 3

To top off our Desserts is Stressed Spelled Backwards series, we are finishing up in New York with their Apple Cobbler. Our own crew raves about how “yummy!” this dessert is, so we are happy to share it with you. Our Director of Food & Beverage, Steve Rosenbloom, offers up this recipe for your enjoyment.

To make the Apple Cobbler, prebake 10 cobbler crusts using your favorite crust recipe.

Ingredients for the Filling

  • 4 Apples (Any Variety)
  • 6 Oz Butter
  • 1 Cup Sugar
  • 1 Table Spoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 Table Spoon Cinnamon
  • 1 Table Spoon Ground Nutmeg

How to Cook the Apples

Slice apples and place in a sauce pot with the butter, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla.

Cook until apples are soft.

Transfer to premade pie shells.

Ingredients for the Crumble

  • ½ Lb Flour
  • 4 Oz Butter
  • 4 Oz Brown Sugar

Mixing the Crumble

Combine butter, flour and sugar

Mix until the mixture is well combined.

Sprinkle on the pie mixture.

Bake at 325 for 15 mins or until topping is golden brown.
